Getting Started

The IndiaSpeaks Admin Dashboard is a comprehensive management platform for conducting online surveys across India. The dashboard provides administrators with tools to:

  • Create and manage surveys for diverse audiences
  • Manage a panel of panelists across different demographics
  • Track survey responses, completes, disqualifications, and overquotas
  • Handle reward points and redemptions
  • Manage referrals and sweepstakes programs
  • Send targeted newsletters and survey invitations

The platform supports multiple languages and can reach respondents across metros, Tier-I, II, and III cities through Online, Phone2Web, Face2Face methodologies.

The dashboard is organized with a clear navigation structure:

Main Navigation Menu:
  • Dashboard: Overview of current surveys with key metrics
  • Surveys: Complete survey management
  • Panelists: Manage all panelists (All, Active, Inactive, Demographics, Reports)
  • Redemptions: Handle reward redemption requests
  • Rewards: Track reward point allocations
  • Referrals: Manage panelist referral program
  • Samples: Create and manage panelist samples
  • Newsletters: Send newsletters to panelists
  • Sweepstakes: Manage monthly sweepstakes
  • Messages: View and manage panelist queries
  • Master Settings: Configure system-wide settings

Use the sidebar menu to navigate between sections. On mobile devices, tap the menu icon to access the navigation.

The main dashboard provides an overview of survey performance with the following information:

Completes: Successfully completed surveys
Disqualified: Disqualified survey entries
Overquotas: Responses beyond desired limit
In Progress: Currently ongoing surveys
Reward Points: Points per completion
IR (Incidence Rate): Completes / Total Clicks

You can filter dashboard data by time periods: Last 30 days, Last 60 days, Last 90 days, or Last year.

Survey Management

To create a new survey, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Surveys from the sidebar menu
  2. Click the Create Survey button
  3. Fill in all mandatory fields (marked with asterisk *):
    • Survey Name
    • Client Name
    • Publish Date and Expiry Date
    • Survey Type
    • User Limit (Cutoff and Committed)
    • Points Allocation
  4. Choose URL option:
    • Unique Links: Check this option and upload a CSV with unique survey links for each panelist
    • Common URL: Leave unchecked to use a single survey URL for all panelists
  5. Optionally, select blacklist surveys to exclude panelists who completed those surveys
  6. Click Create Survey to save

To send survey invitations:

  1. Go to the Survey Details page (click Details button on any survey)
  2. Create Email Template:
    • Click Create Template button
    • Enter template name, customize subject and body
    • Click Create to save the template
  3. Schedule Email:
    • Click Schedule Email button
    • Select the date for sending
    • Choose either a specific count or "Send to All"
    • Select your created template from dropdown
    • Click Schedule
  4. Attach Sample:
    • Click Details button on the scheduled email
    • Select a sample from the dropdown
    • Click Attach Samples to send to selected panelists

To approve survey completions manually:

  1. Close the survey by clicking Close Survey button
  2. Click Export Survey button to download survey data as CSV
  3. Open the CSV file and locate the manual approve column
  4. Set value to true for panelists who successfully completed the survey
  5. Save the modified CSV file
  6. In the Upload Approvals section, click Choose File
  7. Select your modified CSV file
  8. Click Upload Approvals button

The approved panelists will receive their reward points, and their completion status will be updated.

You can filter surveys using multiple criteria:

  • Publish Date: Default is 1 year before today to today
  • Expiry Date: Default is 6 months before to 6 months after today
  • Survey Name: Search by survey name
  • Client Name: Filter by client
  • Survey Type: Filter by survey type

Click Clear Filters to remove all custom filters and return to default view. You can export filtered results by clicking the Export button.

Panelist Management

Panelists are categorized into different types:

All Panelists: Complete list of all registered panelists in the system
Registered Only: Panelists who registered but haven't completed signup step 2 (basic profile)
Basic Profile Only: Panelists who completed signup step 2 but haven't filled detailed profiles
Unsubscribe Requests: Panelists who requested to unsubscribe from IndiaSpeaks
Delete Requests: Panelists who requested account deletion

You can filter panelists using multiple criteria:

Basic Filters:
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • State and City
  • Tier (1-5)
  • Gender
  • Age range
  • Registration date
  • Number of surveys completed
  • User IDs
Advanced Profile Filters:
  1. Click Add Profile Question button
  2. Select a profile from the dropdown
  3. Select a question from that profile
  4. Choose the desired answer option
  5. The system will filter panelists who answered that specific option

Click Clear Filters to reset all filters. Export filtered results using the Export button.

From the panelist details page, you can:

  • Change Password: Update panelist's password
  • Update Profiles: Edit information across 10 different profile sections
  • Suspend Panelist: Temporary or permanent suspension
  • Manage Referral Points: Revoke or grant referral reward points
  • Assign Labels: Tag panelists with custom labels for organization
  • Subscribe/Unsubscribe: Control survey invitation emails
  • Export Details: Download profile, survey, or reward details
  • Resend Verification: Resend email verification to panelist

You can also view the panelist's reward history, redemption requests, and referral details from the same page.

Samples are groups of panelists matching specific criteria. To create a sample:

  1. From All Panelists page, click Create Panelist Sample button
  2. Or navigate to Samples from sidebar and click Create Sample
  3. Enter a sample name (mandatory)
  4. Optionally filter by:
    • Gender, age range
    • Location (state, city, tier)
    • Survey participation
    • Profile questions and answers
  5. Click Create Sample

Note: If you only provide a name without filters, the sample will include all panelists in the system. Samples can be used for targeted survey invitations and newsletters.

Rewards & Redemptions

To approve redemption requests:

Individual Approval:
  1. Navigate to Redemptions from sidebar
  2. Click Details button on a specific request
  3. Review the request details
  4. Click Approve to approve or Cancel Request to reject
Bulk Approval:
  1. Filter redemptions by date, status, mode, or email
  2. Click Export to download filtered requests as CSV
  3. In the CSV, locate manual approve column
  4. Set to true for requests you want to approve
  5. Click Approve Redemptions button
  6. Choose your modified CSV file
  7. Click Upload Approvals

Default filter shows requests from today to 6 months ahead with "New" status.

The Rewards section shows all reward point allocations:

  • Reward Date: When points were allocated
  • Type: Survey completion, referral, or sweepstake reward
  • User: Panelist who received points
  • Referred User: If reward is for referral
  • Survey: If reward is for survey completion
  • Points Requested: Number of points allocated

You can filter rewards by date (default: 6 months before to 6 months after today) and reward type. Click on Details to view full information.

Revoke Rewards: If needed, you can revoke a reward by clicking the Revoke button on the reward details page. This changes the status from "Approved" to "Revoked".

Sweepstakes are monthly rewards for panelists who were disqualified or overquota in closed surveys:

Sweepstake Rules:
  • Conducted on the 5th of every month
  • Pool includes panelists who were disqualified or overquota in previous month's closed surveys
  • Only closed surveys are considered
  • Panelists who won in the last 6 months are excluded
  • System randomly selects:
    • 20 panelists for 200 reward points each
    • 1 panelist for 1000 reward points
To Create a Sweepstake:
  1. Navigate to Sweepstakes from sidebar
  2. Click Create Sweepstake button
  3. Select the sweepstake date
  4. Click Create Sweepstake

Winners receive automatic email notifications, and their reward points are credited to their accounts.

Redemption modes are the options panelists can choose to redeem their points (e.g., Amazon Gift Card, PayTM, Bank Transfer).

To Create a New Redemption Mode:
  1. Go to Master Settings → Redemption Modes
  2. Click Create Redemption Mode
  3. Enter name (mandatory)
  4. Set minimum points required
  5. Configure required fields:
    • Use Name (if panelist name is needed)
    • Use Phone (if phone number is needed)
    • Use Address (if address is needed)
  6. Add description
  7. Click Create Redemption Mode

Edit existing modes by clicking the Edit button on any redemption mode.

Referral Management

The referral system allows panelists to earn rewards by inviting others to join IndiaSpeaks. The workflow follows these statuses:

Pending: Referral initiated but invitation not yet sent
Invited: Email/SMS invitation sent to referred person
Accepted: Referred person registered on the platform
Pending Approval: Referred person completed signup, awaiting admin approval
Approved: Admin approved, referring panelist receives reward points

To approve referrals and allocate reward points:

Individual Approval:
  1. Navigate to Referrals from sidebar
  2. Click Details button on a referral with "Pending Approval" status
  3. Review referral information
  4. Click approve or reject as needed
Bulk Approval:
  1. Filter referrals by status, method, email, or date
  2. Click Export to download as CSV
  3. In CSV, set manual approve to true for referrals to approve
  4. Click Approve Referrals button
  5. Choose modified CSV file
  6. Click Upload Approvals

Default filter shows referrals from 6 months before to 6 months after today. Approved referrals trigger reward point allocation to the referring panelist.

Additional FAQs

  1. Navigate to Newsletters from sidebar
  2. Click Create Newsletter button
  3. Fill in all mandatory fields (Name, Send Date, Body)
  4. Optionally, add specific email addresses in the emails field
  5. Click Create Newsletter
  6. Click Details on the created newsletter
  7. Select a sample from the dropdown
  8. Click Attach Samples to send to all panelists in that sample

Profiles contain questions that panelists answer to provide detailed information. To manage profiles:

Create/Edit Profiles:
  1. Go to Master Settings → Profiles
  2. Click Create Profile or Edit on existing profile
  3. Enter name, description, and display order
  4. Save changes
Add Profile Questions:
  1. Click Questions button on a profile
  2. Click Add Profile Question
  3. Enter the question text
  4. Select display type (Radio, Checkbox, Dropdown)
  5. Add answer options
  6. Set display order and active status
  7. Click Create Profile Question

Panelist queries are handled through the Messages section:

  1. Navigate to Messages from sidebar
  2. View all queries with information about query type, status, and body
  3. Filter queries by query type, email, or status
  4. Click "Click here to view" to see the full query text
  5. Once resolved offline, click Mark Resolved button

Note: There is no chat facility in the system. All queries must be resolved through offline communication (email, phone, etc.).

Manage the location hierarchy through Master Settings → Places:

Add Country:
  1. Click Add Country button
  2. Enter country name
  3. Click Add Country
Add State:
  1. Click Add State button
  2. Select country from dropdown
  3. Enter state name
  4. Click Add State
Add City:
  1. Click Add City button
  2. Select country and state
  3. Enter city name and tier (1-5)
  4. Click Add City

Edit any location by hovering over it and clicking the Edit button.

SEC (Socio-Economic Categorization) is a grading system to categorize panelists based on specific criteria:

How it Works:
  • Create grades (A, B, C, etc.) with specific criteria
  • Example: Grade A = Salary > 5 lakhs + Tier 1 city
  • Panelists are automatically grouped based on matching criteria
  • Can include profile question responses as criteria
Create SEC:
  1. Go to Master Settings → SEC
  2. Click Create SEC
  3. Enter name (mandatory)
  4. Add filtering criteria (gender, age, location, income, etc.)
  5. Click Questions to add profile-based criteria
  6. Save the SEC

Use SECs to target specific socio-economic segments for surveys or analysis.

The system automatically sends these background emails:

  • Email confirmation when user completes Step 1 registration
  • Welcome email when user completes Step 2 registration
  • Password reset email
  • Survey invitation emails (admin-triggered)
  • Survey reminder emails (admin-triggered)
  • Point allocation notification for survey completion
  • Referral reward points notification
  • Account deletion confirmation
  • Redemption request confirmation
  • Redemption status updates (completed/failed)
  • Sweepstake winner congratulation emails
  • Reminder emails every 3 months for incomplete registrations
  • Reminder emails every 3 months for users with no profile completion
